Narration & Audiobooks are my favourite projects, they’re just great. Combined with the higher demand for more natural speakers, rather than the announcer types (don’t get me wrong there are a time and place for an announcer’s voice over) fitting neatly with Long form articles is something I can really get my teeth into.
Narration – Audiobooks
With a background in History & Ethnology, I particularly love to narrate non-fiction stories bringing them to life. It may surround a time or an event a countries past. It could be the medieval period, the highland clearances, world war one. Or (here’s a teaser) one narration project I’m currently working on is my adaptation of the 1000 years of history on Scotland’s famous “Stone of Destiny”. But this is the real world and if you are looking for that deep authentic Scottish voice for your narration, audiobook, long form article or even music on hold for your telephone system, then I’m your man.
So how does it work?
After reading your script and agreeing on a fee, I will record a couple of takes for your review. Unfortunately, due to less than honest people whom have taken my audio and failed to pay, I have found it necessary to include in my draft takes an underlying copyright element which means the piece cannot be used commercially. Sorry 🙁 I’m sure you understand.
The recording will be provided dry for you or you engineers ongoing processing. Contained within the price quoted is a maximum of two re-reads where additional tweaks can be accommodated and after the final revision, I will send you a mp3 & WAV format files. If your preference is AIFF, just let me know at the time of order.
