Public Speaking Event

Colin Williamson on Public Speaking

All speaking projects undertaken must be interesting & meaningful to the audience.

Performing in front of a live audience can be frightening! All those people, looking at you, what will they think? Do I sound bad, do I look bad? A barrage of emotions flood over you before getting up on that stage. There are many ways that can help you overcome such situations, Google it, I’m sure you will find a whole bunch.

If being a public speaker is not for you and your next event needs someone to get up in front of the crowd, let me handle it. My public speaking serves the purpose of transmitting information, telling a story, motivating people to act or carry out the desired behaviour. That’s why public speaking for business and commercial events is often done by professionals like me. Thankfully I’m often approached directly at events with offers of work. To be honest, most of my projects come from customer recommendations. For small businesses such as ScotVox, Word of Mouth Marketing (WOMM) is “THE” most powerful marketing tool available. Utilising it effectively, allows me to get my message out and have potential customers make a more informed decision on using my public speaking services.

My repertoire covers a wide range of subjects such as:

  • Fashion

  • History

  • Folk Lore

Content & intriguing subject matter underpinned by a robust workflow is the key to a successful public speaking event.

Like my Storytelling, for each gig I undertake appropriate level of research on your selected subject matter is conducted. This ensures delivery of an attention grabbing lead into the topic. Thats organised clearly, logically and flows smoothly from section to section, capturing positive audience engagement, arriving at an effective conclusion or desired call to action.

Providing Public Speaking services to organisations for several years throughout Scotland, I often get questions regarding travelling distance. Don’t worry, getting to that far flung event is no problem I’m able to plan my schedule accordingly.
